This entry-level role focuses on engaging potential participants through in-person, phone, and digital outreach to connect them with economic mobility opportunities.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this class.\nOutreach and Administrative Duties:\n• Conduct outreach to individuals who may qualify for Economic Development programs.\n• Explain program benefits, eligibility criteria, and application steps clearly and accurately.\n• Make outbound calls, send emails, and text messages to connect with potential participants and follow up on applications.\n• Attend community events, distribute flyers, and table at outreach sites; support door-to-door canvassing in targeted neighborhoods.\n• Assist with event logistics including participant check-in, setup, and breakdown.\n• Answer participant questions and address concerns with professionalism and empathy.\n• Input and update participant information in the database system.\n• Maintain organized records of outreach activities and participant interactions.\n• Support coordination of outreach strategies to increase community engagement.\n• Collaborate with outreach and program teams to identify and address barriers to participation.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS\n• Strong verbal and written communication skills.\n• Comfortable making a high volume of outreach calls daily.\n• Computer literacy; ability to use databases and standard office applications.\n• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software preferred.\n• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data entry skills.\n• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n• Ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.\n• Passion for helping underserved communities access financial assistance programs.\n• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION\n• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required\n• Willingness to work in income support and assistance programs\nVALUE-BASED BEHAVIORS\nListens attentively to others.
